Spherical GW antenna: The mathematical theory for the resonator problem

In a brief sketch, we present here a new and remarkably elegant approach to the question of how the coupled system, formed by a solid elastic sphere and a set of resonant transducers, dinamically behaves when excited by an incoming GW. The most relevant conclusions of Our investigation are discussed, and finally we propose a polyhedric, quasi-spherical antenna which enables the consideration of alternatives to the truncated icosahedron layout.
